'A Weapon Most Unusual!'
Photo: Margot Jordan

A murder is committed on screen by Miriam Cook.  Actress Marri J. Wright (Cook) then appears in the courtroom with attorney Amanda
Warren - portrayed by Ms. Hankins.  There's a judge, a jury and a prosecutor.  Of course, the witnesses parade back and forth to the
witness stand.  Things progress at a quick pace.  The music and lighting are taken care of by Ms. Hankins and cast.  It all works.  You
feel the pain of the prosecutor (portrayed by Laurence Alexander) - he is desperate to win this case.  You pay particular attention to
witnesses Bob Brannigan (actor Larry Antonio) and Amy Best, secretary (actress Candice A. Hassell).  There's a host of impatient
jurors and this case promises to raise a few temperatures.  The cast manages their lyrics hip hop style, without running out of breath.

Attractive and vivacious at 54 years of age, Ms. Hankins has managed to create work to stay employed in the arts.  Having enjoyed a
successful entertainment career in Europe, she is pursuing the Great White Way with a passion.  "A Murder At The Church", "Cooking
The Books: A Recipe For Murder" complete the current Hip Hop Musical Mysteries that Ms. Hankins enjoyed critical acclaim with.  The
play runs on weekends, only - giving you an opportunity for an early evening in town with entertainment and good food at the same
time.  For further information look up www.hiphopmusicalmysteries.com
